Very attractive aromas of ripe berries, dried mushrooms and ripe strawberries. Flowers, too. Medium to full body and round, soft and creamy tannins. This shows a pretty balance of ripe fruit and tannins for this cooler vintage for the region. Drink or hold.

Mid brick colour. Edgy, savoury nose and massive fruit weight. Delightful wine by any measure – more successful than the Currà Riserva 2014? Really nuanced and pretty intense and powerful. Dry finish but the fruit triumphs over the tannin. (JR)
