Alphonse Mellot : Satellite 2012

A white wine from Sancerre with a pristine, iodized finish

A Sauvignon Blanc single-varietal white wine produced in the Sancerre appellation, Alphonse Mellot's "Satellite" cuvée comes from a vineyard that covers an area of 2 hectares, planted with vines aged 48 years on average on a terroir consisting of clay-limestone soils. The wine is aged in wooden cone vats for 9 months, with the last 6 months of the maturation process en masse.

Alphonse Mellot’s "Satellite" 2012 features a beautiful golden colour with pale reflections. Elegant on the nose, the wine offers soft and refreshing fruit on the palate, flavours of ripe quince and grapefruit, as well as subtle touches of citrus zest. The finish is iodized and pristine.
