Purchased in 1988 by a Societe Generale branch, Chateau Mazeyres has been the object of a large-scale renovation since 1992, which is Alain Moueix's arrival date at the head of the estate.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Château Mazeyres has a lovely bouquet of blackberry, briary, sous-bois and a light marine influence, all very well defined but not concerned about making a big splash at this premature juncture. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp and focused with plenty of fresh blueberry and cassis fruit, before seguing into a structured but refined finish. There is great potential here in another great Pomerol wine from Alain Moueix.
