A Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise combining freshness and fruity sweetness
The property
Renowned oenologist, Xavier Vignon founded the eponymous estate in 1999, which over the years has become a key player in the Rhône Valley. The property stands out for its ecological commitment, notably through collaborations with the Sea Foundation. Xavier Vignon combines scientific rigor and creativity, producing innovative cuvées while respecting local wine traditions.
The vineyard
The Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise is made from vines grown on two complementary types of soil: 80% clay-limestone soils that provide structure and minerality, and 20% sandy soils that enhance the aromatic expression and finesse. This diversity of terroirs contributes to the complexity and balance of the wine.
Vinification and aging
Low-temperature vinification that preserves the freshness and aromatic intensity of the grape. The mutage, carried out with precision, stops the alcoholic fermentation to retain some of the natural sugars while maintaining a beautiful acidity. A large part of the aging takes place in a Wine Globe (glass container) to preserve the purity of the fruit.
Grape variety
100% small grain muscat, of which 90% is white variety and 10% is black variety, bringing aromatic richness and complexity to this natural sweet wine.
