The estate

Founded by Jaime Torres Vendrell in 1870, the Torres family has produced exceptional Spanish wines for five generations. The recipient of numerous awards, they have been widely acclaimed by the greatest international critics.

The vineyard

Planted in Vilafranca del Penedès, Catalonia, the family business, Torres, overlooks a vineyard of over 1,300 hectares. The family vineyard has notably extended to Chile and California. The pioneering and passionate Torres family selects the best varieties to produce great wines which authentically reveal their terroirs of origin.

The wine

On the mystic land of Priorat, upon soils of black slate named Llicorella, monks from the Order of Carthusians were among the first to cultivate vines from the year 1095. An emblematic vintage by the legendary Bodegas Torres brand, Salmos, which means "psalm", pays tribute to these pioneers. Having perceived the potential of this gem of a vineyard, the Torres family decided to conquer the lands of 1996. Salmos was born in this way.

Salmos 2015 by Torres illustrates the typicality of the grape varieties Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, which are cultivated on this exceptional terroir to reveal a wine with a unique personality.
