Description
A Red Wine from the Rhône Valley, Full-bodied and with a Beautiful Aromatic Palette
The Estate
Driven by a sincere passion for great terroirs and characterful wines, Michel Tardieu founded the Tardieu-Laurent Estate in 1996, with his wife. This family house quickly established itself as one of the emblematic signatures of the Rhône Valley.
For two generations, the estate has highlighted the richness of prestigious appellations - Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Condrieu, Hermitage, Vacqueyras, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage... - through cuvées of great finesse, combining aromatic precision and depth, thanks to a demanding and respectful vinification of each origin.
The Vineyard
Coming from vines over 40 years old, this Côte-Rôtie is born on a mosaic of renowned terroirs: Le Plomb, Côte de Rozier, Montmains, Semons and Les Rochains, which give the wine all its complexity.
Vinification and Aging
For this vintage, a third of the grapes are vinified whole, without destemming. Once the fermentation is completed, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, new or second use, then refined for an additional 8 months in foudres, to reveal all its structure and aromatic richness.
Grape Variety
This Côte-Rôtie 2023 from Domaine Tardieu-Laurent is made exclusively from Syrah.
