Located in the Aconcagua Valley to the north of Santiago, Chile, Seña is one of South America's iconic grands crus. This exceptional wine is the fruit of the collaboration, since 1995, between Eduardo Chadwick, one of the most emblematic ambassadors of Chilean wines, and the American Robert Mondavi, recognised as one of the greatest pioneers of New World wines.
Now produced exclusively by the Chadwick family, Seña offers a refined, elegant and balanced expression of the finest Chilean terroirs.
After four years of searching for the most beautiful terroir, Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi acquired 350 hectares of virgin land in the heart of the magnificent Aconcagua Valley, north of Santiago, of which 40 hectares are now planted with a mosaic of Bordeaux grape varieties as well as Carmenere, the flagship varietal used to produce fine Chilean wines. The Seña vineyard is managed based on the precepts of biodynamic agriculture.
2020 is the 26th vintage of Seña.
2020 is a vintage during which the warm weather conditions were contrasted by the cool winds from the Pacific Ocean. These conditions favour a gradual and homogeneous vineyard growth, exuding the fruity character of the grapes as well as an opulent structure all while preserving a beautiful freshness.
