Located in Provence, between the village of Cadiere d'Azur and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, Chateau Vannières is protected to the north by the mountain ridge of Sainte Baume. In 1957, Lucien Boudot, a winemaker in Beaujolais and the Rhône Valley, acquired the estate with 33 hectares in operation. His grandson Bushels Eric is now in charge. He is working to change the style of the Château Vannières, through modern oenology techniques and practices, while respecting the uniqueness of the estate's terroir and grape varieties. The soil is composed of marl and limestone, which helps to produce fine tannins and powerful, complex bouquets.
