In the shadow of its glorious older sibling on the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion and treated with the same respect, Chateau Pavie-Décesse was acquired by Gérard Perse in 1997 and is among the best Grand Cru Classés Saint-Emilion. The 3.5 hectare vineyard is planted with 90% Merlot. This terroir give rise to wine that is rich and full, fleshy and complex, with a good tannic structure and excellent aging potential, very typical of the production of the plateau.
