Château des Rontets has been in the Gazeau-Varambon family since 1850. Situated in Fuissé, on the peak of a wooded hill, the soils are composed of clay and limestone. All the vines, with the exception of a single plot, are enclosed by a stone wall (Clos), a feature which dominates the landscape in the directions of Pouilly, Solutré and Vergisson. Stretching over 6 hectares in the appellation Pouilly-Fuissé the vines date back to the turn of last century and are farmed organically. The wines are complex with a wide range of aromas that express the intensity of the fruit.
