Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh is an appellation located in southwestern France. It extends over the same area as the Madiran appellation, producing wines from over 300 hectares in 37 municipalities. The vines of the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh benefit from an oceanic climate and microclimates due to the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the Pyrenees and the continental influences of Gascony. The vines planted are only white vines (Courbu, Petit Courbu, Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Arrufiac, and Sauvignon Blanc). The wines of Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh are dry or sweet white wines. The dry white wines possess vivacious, fresh and fruity characteristics. The sweet whites are intense, complex and graceful.
