Wine Advocate-Parker :
The tonic and fresh lemon rind-scented 1998 Riesling Hugel Vendange Tardive has gorgeous depth to its personality. Layers of mineral-tinged white fruits, quinine, and dried honey can be found in this well-focused and balanced wine. It is magnificent to drink now as a sweet wine (however, this is not a massively sweet or unctuous offering). With 10 years or so of cellaring, this offering will act as an off-dry to dry wine. Projected maturity: now-2016+.
