Description
A powerful and rich red wine from Cornas
A red Syrah wine produced in the appellation Cornas, the Cornas Place-dit "Patou" of Ferraton Père & Fils benefits from a vineyard planted on slopes of decomposed granite soil. The wine is aged in oak barrels (10% in new barrels) for an average of 12 to 14 months.
The Cornas Place-dit "Patou" 2016 by Ferraton Père & Fils displays an intense and deep ruby colour. Rich in aromas, the wine reveals on the nose blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry fragrances. The wine is powerful and rich on the palate, offering a tight structure. Tasty notes of ripe black fruit and spices, as well as tight tannins of high density. The finish is superbly long.
