A red wine from Crozes-Hermitage with great generosity

A red wine produced exclusively from Syrah in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, the Crozes-Hermitage Lieu-dit "Les Pichères" of Ferraton Père & Fils comes from a vineyard planted on a limestone subsoil with alluvial soils and large pebbles. The wine is first aged in oak barrels previously used for 2 or 3 wines for 8 to 10 months, depending on the vintage, before being stored in concrete vats for 6 months.

At tasting, the Crozes-Hermitage Lieu-dit "Les Pichères" 2016 of Ferraton Père & Fils reveals a crystal clear, deep ruby colour. Open and spirited. The nose develops sublime notes of ripe red berries. On the palate, it proves to be ample and rich, offering tasty touches of jammy red fruits. This wine stands out, finally, in its great generosity and length.
