Delicate and full of finesse, the bouquet reveals lovely citrus notes intertwined with elegant scents of orchard fruit.

The wine offers a supple, harmonious texture. Well structured, it is distinguished by fine acidity and a subtle grip, which lend great freshness to the whole.
Food and Wine Pairing
With its light, easy-drinking profile and citrus notes, this white wine pairs beautifully with delicate white fish, shellfish or poultry in a rich, creamy sauce. It also goes very well with a seasonal vegetable risotto and with soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.

The Elegance and Freshness of a White Wine from the Mâconnais
The Estate
Based in Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy, Domaine Leflaive traces its family roots back to 1717. However, the estate as we know it today was truly established between 1910 and 1930, when Joseph Leflaive replanted the vineyards. A pioneer of biodynamics since the 1990s, the estate is known for its deep respect for natural rhythms and terroirs. Today, Brice de la Morandière heads this prestigious domaine, upholding his ancestors' uncompromising commitment to quality while expanding into new appellations and producing wines of remarkable precision.
The Vineyard
Located in the heart of the Verzé valley, the vines that produce the Mâcon-Verzé cuvée grow on clay-limestone soils of varying depths. With south-east and south-west exposures, the vineyard has been farmed entirely biodynamically since 2004. The grapes are harvested by hand and the bunches rigorously sorted to ensure optimal fruit quality.
The Vintage
2015 stands out as a particularly hot and early vintage. High summer temperatures encouraged rapid ripening of the berries, prompting the estate to begin harvesting as early as August. This rare occurrence had happened on only two other occasions since the end of the Second World War.
Vinification and Ageing
To craft this wine, the grapes undergo a long, very gentle pneumatic pressing, followed by settling. True to the estate's philosophy, fermentation and ageing take place on the lees for several months in a variety of vessels. The wine then undergoes further maturation in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, preserving all the purity and freshness of the fruit.
Grape Variety
This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay.
