Description

A Grand Cru from Burgundy, ample and powerful

The estate

Founded in 1782 and present in 9 appellations of Burgundy, the Domaine Henri Rebourseau is one of the most significant properties in terms of the surface area of Grand Crus owned in the Côte de Nuits. The estate houses an exceptional vineyard heritage planted on lands cultivated for over 1,400 years. Today, the de Surrel family oversees this exceptional heritage by practicing organic and biodynamic agriculture.

The vineyard

The Domaine Henri Rebourseau extends over the Côte de Nuits, an emblematic terroir of Burgundy.

The wine

This Grand Cru is a Chambertin wine from a namesake plot whose 59-year-old vines are exposed to the east on a slope benefiting from an ideal altitude and good natural drainage. This 0.46 hectare terroir benefits from a significantly colder climate due to its proximity to the Grisard combe but enjoys a perfectly ventilated position.

The vintage

The 2023 vintage in Burgundy stands out for its generous harvest and optimal maturity of the grapes, despite sometimes unstable weather. After a spring marked by a few episodes of frost, the summer, both hot and dry, was tempered by timely rainfall, thus providing ideal conditions for a homogeneous maturation of the harvest. The result is an exceptional vintage, marked by a remarkable harmony between fruit, freshness, and structure. A promising balance that suggests a good aging potential
