Description
A Red wine from the Côtes du Rhône combining structure and balance
The estate
Created in 1986 by Francis and Christophe Delorme, the Domaine de la Mordorée now spans 42 hectares in the Southern Rhône Valley, covering eight prestigious appellations including Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Tavel and Condrieu. Since 2015, Madeleine Delorme and her daughter Ambre have carried on the family heritage with an organic and biodynamic approach. The estate stands out for its cuvées with poetic bird-inspired names and its international acclaim.
The vineyard
The vines of this Côtes du Rhône benefit from very varied terroirs, composed of sandy or sandy-clay soils enriched with limestone pebbles. The estate practices viticulture certified as Organic Agriculture and Demeter Biodynamics, with exclusively manual harvests and rigorous grape sorting.
Winemaking and aging
Destemming and crushing are followed by a maceration tailored to each plot to extract the best from each grape variety.
Blend
This Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2024 from the Domaine de la Mordorée is a blend of grenache, syrah, cinsault, carignan and mourvèdre.
