Located on the left bank of Bordeaux, Château Meyney enjoys an exceptional location, close to the Gironde estuary. With origins harking back to 1662, this property is owned by the Crédit Agricole Grands Crus subsidiary and has witnessed a remarkable rise in quality in recent decades. The wines of Château Meyney are among the finest references in the Saint-Estèphe and Médoc appellations.
Château Meyney is a Saint-Estèphe wine that stems from a vineyard of around fifty hectares, all in one piece, close to the terroir of Château Montrose. The vineyard is planted on Garonne gravel soils with a notable specificity. A 3-metre-thick vein of blue clay, similar to that of the Château Pétrus terroir, is buried in the subsoil.
Cabernet Sauvignon (58%)
Petit Verdot (11%).
Superb expression of fruit, elegant oak, full on the palate and with a perfectly defined tannic structure, the 2017 vintage is the result of a masterful craftsmanship.
