Decanter

One of the lighter takes on the vintage, there is not a huge amount of botrytis character here, which means the sweetness feels a little heavy. Attractive peach and apricot flavours. 85% Sémillon, 10% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle.

The vineyard

This Château Liot 2016 is a Sauternes wine from a 25-hectare vineyard, with vines averaging 45 years old, resting on a terroir made up of clay and red soil on a limestone base.

Vinification and aging

Manual harvesting by successive sorting. Aging in vats and barrels.
