Description
A round and balanced Pomerol red wine
With over 47 acres of vines in the Pomerol appellation, Château de Sales produces quality wines that are respectful of their terroir. It is made from a blend of 82.5% Merlot, 12.5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
At tasting, the wine has a beautiful ruby colour. The nose still has a little concentration and shows a great complexity due to its red fruit aromas and more spicy notes. On the palate, the Château de Sales 2010 is a balanced wine that has a lovely roundness and fleshiness with plenty of vinosity. The structure shows great flexibility without being aggressive. The length is interestingly long, which indicates a beautiful harvest. This magnificent vintage requires a little ageing and will be ready to consume from 2020.
