Vinum

Deep, cool, wild berries, floral notes, cherries and blackcurrant; on the palate silky, with fine-grained tannins and vibrant, crisp fruit; the finish lingers with a saline note of redcurrant. Excellent.

Decanter

Ripe red and blackberry fruit aromas introduce a palate with freshening acidity that in this case enhances the impression of juicy, succulent fruit, not hard tannins. The finish is long and flavorful, reinforcing the wine’s balance between ripeness and energy, making it a compelling en primeur showing. A second tasting at Château Olivier the same day found the wine a touch tighter and more reserved, but the underlying quality and harmony remain clear.

Flowers, espresso, black and dark red pit fruits and berries define the nose. On the palate, the wine is perfectly balanced between lush, and lively. The fruits are soft sweet, and polished, with the right touch of mineral essences, and zesty spices on the backend. The wine blends 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. Drink from 2028-2045. 91-93 Pts

Grilled cedar and sandalwood, characterful damson fruits, with some of the squid ink salinity that is such a lovely marker of ripe Cabernet Sauvignon on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Harvest September 4 to 26. Quinn family owners.

What a remarkable ability to focus so precisely on the notion of freshness and ripeness in 2025! The bouquet first highlights floral nuances with notes of violet, before giving way to chalky tones and, finally, to lively wafts of ripe black berries and licorice (it is worth recalling in passing that “

Deep, intense red color with purplish highlights. An intense, refined nose, fruity and pure. A hint of vanilla when the glass is swirled. Precise on the attack, savory through the mid-palate and very well built, the wine develops juicy and velvety all the way across the palate. It finishes long on fine tannins. Very good. Blend: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol content: 14%.

The elegance and precision of a Pessac-Léognan wine

The estate

Established at the beginning of the 19th century on former forest land, Château de Fieuzal is an emblematic figure of the Bordeaux region. This Graves Grand Cru Classé now extends over a 70-hectare vineyard. Since 2001, the estate has been passionately led by the Quinn family, of Irish origin. Lochlann and Brenda Quinn have brought a modernising momentum while preserving the unique identity of this terroir. Supported by technical director Stephen Carrier and consultant Thomas Duclos, they are taking the estate's wines to new heights.

The vineyard

Located south of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the terroir consists of fine gravel mixed with sand, clay and small white stones. This soil promotes excellent natural drainage. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, thrive on gently sloping hillsides reaching 58 metres in altitude, offering optimal sun exposure. The presence of the Eau Blanche stream provides valuable water regulation during hot years. Planting density stands at 8,300 vines per hectare.

The vintage

This vintage benefited from particularly favourable growing conditions, marked by characteristic warmth that enabled optimal phenolic ripeness of the berries. The harvest was carried out with great precision, taking place from 4 September to 26 September 2025. Alcohol content: 13% vol.

Grape varieties

This wine is made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.
