The 2014 Chateau Dalem is a Fronsac which reputation comes from regularity, vintage after vintage, and the philosophy that the property developed since 2002, thanks to Brigitte Rullier-Loussert. The Chateau wants to subtlety combine strength of character, elegance and the appeal of the wines, without giving in to fashionable wines. The 2014 Dalem offers dense aromatic expressions (Merlot) and great freshness (Cabernet Franc). The generous and expressive nose gives off black cherry aromas, followed by a mineral and blue cedar hint. The palate is quite full-bodied and reveals well-ripped, sappy, but not coarse tannins. The finish is long. The wine has texture, density and aromatic richness.
