Description
A savoury red Grand Vin from Haut-Médoc
A great vintage for Bordeaux, 2018 marks a very good year for Château Coufran, an important reference in Haut-Médoc.
Located in Haut-Médoc, not far from Pauillac, Château Coufran overlooks a vineyard of 76 hectares ideally placed at the edge of the estuary.
The wine of Château Coufran is often called "the Pomerol of Médoc" because of the high percentage of Merlot used in the blend. The Château Coufran 2018 is thus made from a blend of Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels (including one-fourth in new wood).
Well-rounded and supple, the Château Coufran 2018 seduces with its generous palate and its persistent finish. A beautiful reference of Haut-Médoc in a vintage that promises a beautiful evolution over the years.
