Description

A balanced red wine from Haut-Médoc

A Cru bourgeois produced in the Haut-Médoc appellation, Château Charmail is a red wine from a vineyard of 28 hectares. The vines, which are 31 years old on average, are planted on soils made of clayey gravel. The wine is aged in barrel (25% in new barrels) for 12 months.

Château Charmail 2016 boasts a deep, ruby colour with shades of purple. The nose is intense, developing aromas of black fruits, leather and tobacco. The attack on palate combines amplitude and roundness, with a perfectly integrated woodiness. The wine is persistent in the mouth thanks to a fullness and perfectly balanced tannins. To be consumed before 2027.
