Château Caronne Sainte Gemme 2014

Bordeaux - Haut-Medoc - Red - 13° Château Caronne Sainte Gemme Château Caronne Sainte Gemme 2014 1522/14
  • Parker : 87
  • J. Robinson : 16+

The château Caronne Sainte Gemme 2014 presents an itense color with purple reflections. The ripe Cabernet varieties enhance the intense and exuberant fragrances of blackcurrant and black cherry. Whilst swirling, complex aromas of Liban cedar combined with vanilla can be detected - this is due to the ageing of the wine. On the mouth, the wine is wide and tense proving an extreme softness. The tannins are strong but round in the finish. This Haut-Médoc is worth its success.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Caronne Ste Gemme has a pretty bouquet with blackberry, raspberry coulis and cedar aromas, slightly Pauillac in style with moderate intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite crisp in the mouth if just missing a little depth. It is probably a wine for early drinking although I appreciate how this has gained a little sophistication during its élevage.;2018 - 2028
