The vineyard

Remarkable for its vineyard set in a natural amphitheatre, the Cornas appellation reveals a powerful yet refined expression through Xavier Vignon's Back Vintages. This 2000 vintage is crafted from vineyards planted on shallow granite soils containing potassium, iron and magnesium.

Winemaking and ageing

The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified as whole bunches. A long maceration promotes concentration and an intense colour. Extended ageing in new and old foudres.
