The natural hue of this whisky is named “Parisian Sunrise,” evoking the first rays of sunlight over Montmartre.

Nose

Immediately elegant notes of freshly baked almond croissants and rose perfume come first. They are followed by nectarines in syrup, alongside sandalwood and delicate notes of vanilla pods, with musky nuances reminiscent of Parisian perfumery.

Palate

The profile reveals itself to be rich and buttery, with pronounced notes of brioche and the sweetness of sugared almonds. A fruity burst of peach melba develops into flavors of creamy mille-feuille and gently toasted oak, evoking the incense of historic buildings.

Macallan: Speyside excellence since 1824

Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid under the name Elchies distillery in the Scottish Highlands—more precisely in Speyside at Craigellachie—Macallan stands out as one of Scotland’s most prestigious distilleries. Owned by the Edrington group since 1999, and led by Ian Curle, the House invested 100 million pounds sterling in 2014 in an ultra-modern facility equipped with 36 stills. Macallan is distinguished by its unrivaled expertise in sherry cask aging, using 100% of these casks, 75% of which are Oloroso. Edrington notably controls 95% of sherry cask imports into Scotland, ensuring exceptional quality.

Distil Your World Paris: an exceptional limited edition

Distil Your World Paris Edition Limitée is the fifth release in the prestigious Distil Your World collection. This unique expression marks a historic first for Macallan with the use of cognac casks in maturation, alongside traditional sherry and bourbon casks. Crafted in collaboration with three-Michelin-star chefs Anne-Sophie Pic and Joan Roca, as well as Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, this Scotch whisky celebrates Parisian culinary aromas and flavors, French pastry tradition, and the art of Parisian perfumery.

The luxury presentation case pays tribute to the French capital with a “jaune rue” interior, evoking iconic Parisian street lamps. The gouache illustration of a Parisian street is by French artist Cassandre Montoriol.
