An organic whisky from the French Alps with an assertive character
Domaine des Hautes Glaces, pioneer of organic Alpine whisky
Founded in 2009 by Frédéric Revol and Jérémy Bricka, who remain owners and managers, Domaine des Hautes Glaces embodies the first French Alpine whisky crafted according to the farm-distillery model. Located at an altitude of 900 meters in Cornillon-en-Trièves, Isère, this pioneering estate masters the entire process from grain to bottle. Its approach is based on regenerative organic farming without plowing, favoring long crop rotations and collaboration with local farmers. A minimum aging period of four years in French Cognac, Vin Jaune or wine casks confers a unique aromatic profile to these whiskies, an authentic expression of an exceptional Alpine terroir. Domaine des Hautes Glaces holds the title of the oldest organic whisky distillery in the world.
Minimus 2012, an atypical spirit from Domaine des Hautes Glaces
Minimus 2012, whose name means "the last" in Latin, represents an exceptional organic spirit from Domaine des Hautes Glaces. This cask strength French whisky is bottled at its natural strength without additives, produced and processed using organic farming methods. It is available in two distinct versions: a Single Malt Whisky at 53.2% alcohol and a Rye Whisky at 56% alcohol. The Single Malt variant was made with barley from the Les Gabert climat, organically grown, and bottled without filtration. This respectful approach to the product preserves the full range of aromas and the natural power of the spirit, offering a pure and authentic expression of this Alpine farm-distillery's know-how.
