Founded in 1888 in Puerto Plata by the Catalan Andrés Brugal Montaner, the House of Brugal is a historic pillar of Dominican rum. For more than 135 years, five generations have passed down a unique expertise, now brilliantly embodied by Jassil Villanueva Quintana, the family's first female Maestra Ronera. The distillery stands out for its exclusive use of local molasses and column distillation at 95% ABV, producing a light distillate designed to shine through tropical ageing. Brugal's identity rests on exceptional mastery of the cask, with the House estimating that 85% of its spirits' aromatic profile comes from the wood. Since 2008, the Scottish group Edrington has been the majority owner of the brand, bringing international expertise while ensuring that production remains on the island and that technical direction stays with the founding family.

Visionaria Edicion Limitada 2 is an exceptional amber rum that showcases the House's spirit of innovation. Made exclusively from 100% local molasses fermented for 36 hours, this spirit stands out thanks to an exclusive method developed by Maestra Ronera Jassil Villanueva: Aromatic Cask Toasting.

After 100% Dominican tropical ageing in first-fill ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry oak casks, this rum undergoes a distinctive finishing process. The finest virgin French oak casks are first toasted with Arabica coffee beans from the Dominican Republic. During this toasting, the beans infuse the wood with their complex aromas before being meticulously removed. The spirit is then filled into these casks to absorb the roasted notes captured by the oak, without a single coffee bean ever coming into direct contact with the rum.

This ultra-premium edition, presented in an elegant case, is the second expression in a series of four bottlings, offering enthusiasts a true immersion in the treasures of the Dominican terroir.
