Appearance
Deep, opaque color.
Nose
Fruity (blackberry) with a hint of pepper.

The estate
A pioneer, Dr. Osea Perrone acquired land in 1885 in the Dry Creek Valley area and planted vines on this clay-limestone terroir. The first vintage was produced in 1892.
Purchased in 1959 and renamed in 1962 “Ridge Vineyards”, the estate expanded its vineyard and enlisted California winemaker Paul Draper to make the property an icon among the greatest Californian wines.
Ridge Vineyards oversees an exceptional vineyard farmed organically, renowned for wines crafted using non-interventionist methods that showcase the purest expression of fruit.

Lytton Estate Petite Sirah from Ridge Vineyards is a California wine from vineyards with clay-limestone soils located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested. At the estate, winemaking employs non-interventionist techniques inspired by those practiced in the 19th century. Aged for 16 months in American oak barrels (20% new).
