Bogle Vineyards Wines : Key Points

Warren Bogle, a fourth generation farmer set down roots in California with one acre of land after serving in World War II. It wasn’t until years later in 1968 when he planted 20 acres of vines with his son Chris to create Bogle Vineyards. At first, Bogle grew grapes for surrounding wineries, but in 1978 he released wine under his own label and the rest is history. The winery, known as Home Ranch, in Clarksburg, California is still the original built back in 1979. Today, six generations later the Bogle siblings Jody, Warren and Ryan, keep the family tradition alive and well.

Bogle Vineyards produces a variety of wines, sourcing grapes from some of the best winegrowing regions across California and within in their 1,800 acres of estate vines. The estate in Clarksburg is home to Merlot, Chardonnay, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir come from vineyards in the Russian River Valley, while their old vine Zinfandel and Merlot come from the Lodi AVA.

The Bogle Vineyards Chardonnay is certified sustainable and a classic round and fruit forward California Chardonnay. The Bogle Vineyards Merlot and Bogle Vineyards Phantom are both great everyday red wines. Fruit forward, with notes of blackberry, ripe cherry and a bit of vanilla these wines are crowd pleasers.
