Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Robert M. Parker, Jr.

Not nearly as concentrated, although elegant, in a much lighter style than the 2003, with notes of cedar, herbs, red and black currants as well as licorice, this is a medium-bodied, more streamlined and austere Pavillon Rouge to drink over the next decade.

Wine Spectator

A good wine with toasted oak and berries that follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with firm tannins and a medium finish. Best after 2008. 15,830 cases made.

René Gabriel

03: Medium ruby-purple, with a lightening rim. Clearly floral, blossom-driven bouquet; raw plum pulp, pink peppercorn, a light chocolate note. Slim but finely textured on the palate; lingonberries, red elderberry, medium concentration; still feels a bit unfinished and shows leafy notes on the finish—somehow it’s missing a touch of sweetness in the extract. 16/20 2005 – 2013
