Notes of smoky oak and sweet spices are prominent, while the black cherry and blackberry fruit gives way to mouthcoating tannins. The lingering impression is the smoky oak. Needs time. Best from 2027 through 2040. 150 cases imported.

An elegant, nicely concentrated wine, medium-bodied, smooth and silky, yet given some grip by good acidity and light tannins. Aged in barrels with a small portion new, it already shows complexity and some finesse but will improve with time. Drink or hold.
