A Soave Classico Exuding the Minerality of Veneto
The estate
Created in 2024, the Peaks & Valleys project, created by Marilisa Allegrini and Andrea Lonardi, pays homage to Verona and its varied wine regions: Valpolicella, Soave and Lugana. This initiative aims to showcase not only the wines but also the unique territories that shape them. From the steep hills of Valpolicella to the volcanic soils of Soave and the morainic hills of Lugana, each region contributes to the distinctiveness of the wines produced. The vineyards are selected according to rigorous criteria such as soil composition, climate, exposure, altitude and indigenous grape varieties. Each wine authentically expresses its origin while adhering to contemporary standards of excellence.
The vineyard
The Castelcerino vineyard flourishes in the Soave Classico area at 347 meters with southeast exposure. The garganega vines, over 30 years old, are rooted in soils of calcarenites mixed with brown clay.
Winemaking and aging
Castelcerino 2024 is produced using traditional methods with manual harvesting between late September and early October. Whole-cluster pressing is followed by static settling. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 15 and 18°C for two weeks. The wine is aged in concrete vats for six months, followed by two months of bottle aging before release.
Grape variety
This Veneto wine is made exclusively from garganega, the emblematic grape variety of the Appellation Soave, which here reveals all its finesse and mineral elegance.
