The Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg of Trimbach is the estate’s brand new cuvée. The 2-hectare vineyard located in the Schlossber Grand Cru was acquired in 2012. The first vintage was produced in 2014 by the family. The southern facing Riesling vines are planted in granite soils (Thannenkirch granite and Kaysersberg granite migmatite) on horizontal terraces near the château.
At tasting, the Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg 2014 of the Trimbach family is a dry white wine of great delicacy. It shows a lot of finesse and is wonderfully polished. This cuvee has an ageing potential of at least 10 years.
