Description
Maison Trimbach has been making wine in Alsace since 1626. Now, three of 13 generations are continuing the legacy in Ribeauville village in the Northern France. Part of the Trimbach family’s well-known legacy and time-honored commitment to perfection is their insistence on cellaring every bottle until deemed ready to drink. Maison Trimbach also prides itself on producing terroir driven wines that also can be aged for years to come. Of the many varietals vinified by Maison Trimbach, their Riesling cuvees are the most favored of all. Although famed for bottlings of Grand Cru, Prestige and other rare Riesling, their entry-level expression of the grape is fantastic and approachable.
The Maison Trimbach vineyard area sits between the Vosges Mountains, which protect the vines from undesirable rain, and the Rhine River. The soil here is mostly limestone, giving the wine its typical minerality and unmistakable citrusy character.
The Maison Trimbach Riesling is complex and fresh, full of lemon flavors from start to finish. It is dry, fresh, high in acid and has hints of wet stone, peach and apricot.
