A great white wine from Burgundy with minerality and beautiful structure

The estate

Founded in 1797, the Louis Latour House is now represented by the 11th generation, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour. As a négociant-éleveur, Louis Latour owns the largest estate of Grands Crus in Burgundy.

The vineyard

The largest commune in Côte-d’Or producing white wines, Meursault is located south of Volnay and Pommard in the Côte de Beaune. While Meursault does not have any Grands Crus, the outstanding quality of its Premiers Crus has made it a world-renowned reference among lovers of great Burgundy wines. Exclusively owned by the Louis Latour house, the Château de Blagny oversees an exceptional vineyard. On average, the vines are 30 years old and are situated on the upper slopes overlooking Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This exceptional terroir for Chardonnay is characterized by marl and limestone soils, giving rise to Meursault wines with great freshness, elegance, and significant aging potential.

Winemaking and Aging

After manual harvesting, fermentation is carried out traditionally in oak barrels, with 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels (35% new barrels) sourced from the Louis Latour cooperage.

Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
