The estate
Maison Jean Chartron, founded in 1859, is located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in Puligny-Montrachet. Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure Chartron, representing the fifth generation, uphold the excellence of this emblematic house. The estate is renowned for its environmentally friendly viticulture and its commitment to traditional winemaking, revealing the purity of Burgundy’s terroirs.
The vineyard
"Montmorin" is a Rully wine from vineyards rooted in clay-limestone soils.
Winemaking and aging
Vinification was carried out entirely in oak barrels, with 10% new barrels and 90% barrels used one to three times. The wine was aged for 8 months on fine lees, followed by 4 months in stainless steel to refine its profile.
