The elegance and freshness of a white wine from Saint-Romain
The estate
The third generation of a winegrowing family, Jean-Charles Fagot heads this estate in Corpeau, France. To broaden his range of wines from Burgundy, he founded his own négociant business in 2014. Tending a small vineyard of three to four hectares in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, he skilfully combines his family heritage with his work as a négociant. Deeply rooted in local tradition, the estate has also been honoured with the Saint-Vincent statuette.
The vineyard
The grapes for this cuvée come from the Saint-Romain appellation, located on high-altitude slopes in the western part of the Côte de Beaune. This cooler terroir gives the berries a remarkable tension and minerality, typical of the area.
Vinification and ageing
Made using traditional methods, the Saint-Romain Village 2024 undergoes careful ageing in oak barrels. This maturation period, lasting twelve to fourteen months, shapes the wine's structure while developing its aromatic complexity.
Grape variety
This wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay (100%).
