Description
Characteristics and tasting notes for the "Cricri" 2024 Domaine Partagé - Gilles Berlioz
Tasting notes
Color
This white wine reveals a pale straw-yellow color, enhanced by delicate green and pearly reflections.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet stands out for its great complexity, blending mineral notes of flintstone with aromas of lychee, peach pit and citrus zest. Touches of toasted almond, brown butter, acacia, peppermint and wild thyme enrich the whole. Upon aeration, a subtle oxidative evolution reveals new olfactory dimensions.
Palate
The attack offers a remarkable balance between roundness and lightness. Carried by a harmonious acidity and a beautiful mineral tension with saline accents, this wine unfolds a delicate texture. The finish stretches elegantly with refreshing notes of mint and a persistent minerality.
Food and wine pairing
The estate suggests pairing this wine with a fillet of féra poached in white butter sauce with lovage, served with steamed parsley potatoes. More generally, this cuvée pairs wonderfully with seafood, freshwater fish, white poultry in a light cream sauce, or vegetable-based dishes such as asparagus and artichokes.
Service and storage
To fully appreciate the "Cricri" 2024, it is recommended to serve it directly from the bottle, at a temperature between 11 and 14°C. This wine can be enjoyed from 2025 and will reveal its peak until around 2029, with an aging potential extending to 2031.
Other characteristics
This wine has a moderate alcohol content of 10%. To preserve its full aromatic complexity, it is bottled without fining or filtration, which may result in a slight natural haze.
The pure expression of Savoie terroir at Domaine Partagé - Gilles Berlioz
The estate
Founded in 1990, Domaine Partagé - Gilles Berlioz has established itself as a key reference in Savoie. Originally a landscape designer, Gilles Berlioz founded this estate with his partner Christine, transforming a modest inheritance into a vineyard of excellence. Today, the estate is run by Gilles and Christine, gradually joined by their daughter Jeanne. A pioneer of biodynamics in the region, the estate stands out for its deeply respectful approach to living things, favoring manual work and animal traction to bring out the best in its alpine terroirs.
The vineyard
This Vin de Savoie Chignin comes from the estate's oldest plots, named Les Crays and Chez Odette. These Jacquère vines, around thirty years old, benefit from an ideal southwest exposure on the slopes of the Massif des Bauges. The terroir consists of clay-limestone soils and glacial moraines, worked exclusively by hand and with horses to preserve the structure and natural ecosystem of the land.
Winemaking and aging
For the "Cricri" 2024 cuvée, the grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, then immediately transported to the cellar. The juice is extracted through slow pneumatic pressing at very low pressure. Fermentation takes place at low temperature, between 12 and 16°C, using indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel tanks and ovoid concrete or fiberglass amphorae. A malolactic fermentation then softens the wine while preserving its original freshness.
