Domaine Hubert Lamy : Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru "Les Macherelles" 2014

Burgundy - Chassagne-Montrachet - White - 13° Domaine Hubert Lamy Domaine Hubert Lamy 2014 E812/14
  • Parker : 89-91

2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru, pure Chardonnay, Burgundy.

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Macherelles of Domaine Hubert Lamy is pure Chardonnay wine. It was made from about 28 year old vines and displays a very pale yellow hue. The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Macherelles nose is fine, grilled and vanilla fragranced, enhanced by fresh fruit aromas. On the palate, this 2014 white wine is round, strong and rich, with a fresh finish. It is a worth-keeping wine

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Macherelles has a fine bouquet in the making: white peach, Japanese yuzu and citrus lemon developing in the glass. The palate was showing a little more oak than its peers, but it remains balanced and smooth in the mouth, its inherent peachiness coming through on the satisfying finish. Composed, if conservative.
