Domaine Bruno Clair : Morey-Saint-Denis Village "En la Rue de Vergy" 2023

The white from the top of the slope in Morey was lovely in 2023, with an expressive nose of ripe pears and acacia blossoms. The texture is lush but retains enough acidity to keep the wine dynamic and lively on the palate. There is an elegant purity of fruit that comes straight through the lingering finish. The domaine has almost a half-hectare in Chardonnay here; the grapes are fermented in stainless and aged for 18 months in cask (15% new).
