While it offers a very enjoyable tasting experience in its youth, this vintage has the structure to evolve in the cellar and can be enjoyed until around 2030.
The mineral and elegant expression of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape white wine
The estate
Established in the Rhône Valley, the Brunel family has been cultivating the vine since the eighteenth century. However, the official founding of Domaine André Brunel dates back to 1954, under the leadership of Lucien Brunel. Today, Fabrice Brunel, representing the eighth generation, has been at the helm of the estate since 2022. He carries on the family legacy by combining tradition and modernity. The estate stands out for its strong environmental commitment, certified High Environmental Value, and for its sustainable innovations aimed at preserving the authenticity of its terroirs.
The vineyard
Located in the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, the terroir is characterized by a massive presence of rolled pebbles. These stones store daytime heat and release it at night, promoting optimal ripening of the berries. The limestone-rich soils benefit from generous Mediterranean sunshine. The estate favours environmentally friendly farming practices, without herbicides or pesticides, with shallow soil tillage and partial grassing between rows. The vines, averaging over sixty years of age, are harvested exclusively by hand.
The vintage
2025 stood out for its cool, late weather. These particular climatic conditions favoured a slow and very gradual ripening of the grapes, ensuring excellent health at harvest.
Winemaking and aging
To preserve all the freshness of the fruit, the grapes are harvested very early in the morning and pressed immediately to limit oxidation. Fermentation takes place at low temperature, and malolactic fermentation is not carried out in order to preserve the natural acidity. The wine is then aged for six months exclusively in stainless steel tanks, with no oak influence whatsoever. Finally, the wine rests for three months in bottle before release.
Grape varieties
This wine is a blend of Roussanne (80%), Clairette (15%) and Grenache Blanc (5%).
