2013 Chambertin Grand Cru
Domaine David Duband’s 2013 Chambertin Grand Cru displays a shiny, intense purple hue. The nose exudes complex scents of black fruits (cherry, blackberry), figs, candied liquorice, vanilla, sandalwood. This Burgundy from Cote de Nuits offers a beautiful structures to the palate, with very fine, incredibly long tannins. The 2013 Chambertin Grand Cru is the essence of superior soils and a great vintage year.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2013 Chambertin Grand Cru has a slightly meaty bouquet, one that is nicely defined, although I would have liked more fruit and intensity. It becomes noticeably earthier in character as it begins to open. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm, grippy tannins with a pleasant saline finish that cuts away a little too swiftly for a Chambertin.
