The story of Bodega Contador is one of a man and his dream, Benjamín Romeo. Following the acquisition of a hundred-year-old cellar carved into the rock under the castle in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja in 1995, this passionate winegrower and oenologist produced La Cueva del Contador in 1996 before developing his own vineyard over the years and creating his own bodega.
An essential reference amongst the greatest Spanish wines, Bodega Contador produces cuvées that are renowned for their authentic and refined expression of their terroirs of origin, as well as their aromatic complexity.
Having been produced since 1999, “Contador” has become a Bodega Contador icon over each vintage.
Contador 2017 is 100% Tempranillo.
