Bright fruit, this is inky with delicious dark chocolate, saline, crunchy, bright lilac and raspberry. 1.5ha in Pomerol, 70% new oak ageing, 42hl/ha yield, planted at 10,000 vines/ha which is unusual in Pomerol, harvest September 9 to 10.

A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in 70% new French oak, the 2023 Château La Connivence offers juicy black cherries, graphite, tobacco, and a kiss of minerality. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a pretty, pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, fine tannins, and a good finish. It's solid today yet will keep for two decades. Drink 2026-2045.
