Château Francs Magnus 2022

Highly perfumed and aromatic on the nose, bright vivid purple colour in the glass. Fresh and bright purple fruits, blackcurrants and plums. Sweet, straight, highly charged in terms of fruit persistence, weight and fleshiness, but with a linear, focused, cooling, chalky, creamy, powdery element as well as mineral touches. Supple, a bit gentle with bite and crunch. A touch austere and dry towards the end, but more the youth speaking at this point. Nice promise and lovely graphite, minty-fresh lift at the end. Good combination of fruit and terroir on show. Harvest 12–23 September. Ageing 16 months, 70% stainless-steel tanks, 30% French oak barrels of one wine. In organic conversion.
