An elegant, velvety red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune
The estate
Founded in 1720 by the cooper Edme Champy, Champy is the oldest négociant house in Beaune. Led by Dimitri Bazas since 2014 and owned by the AdVini group since 2016, it farms 21 hectares across the Côte de Beaune, stretching from Volnay to Corton-Charlemagne. Half of the vineyard is certified organic and the other half is HVE-certified.
The vineyard
The Volnay vineyard lies high up on the Côte de Beaune, with the village nestled against the small Chaignot hill. Located between Pommard and Meursault, it enjoys an east to south-east exposure and sits at altitudes of 230 to 280 metres. The appellation has no Grand Cru but stands out for its 30 Premiers Crus.

100% Pinot Noir
