The Estate

Founded in 1731 by Michel Bouchard, the House of Bouchard Père & Fils is a historic institution of Burgundy, rooted at the celebrated Château de Beaune since 1820. Initially focused on wine trading, the house established its own vineyard estate from 1775 onwards. Now owned by the Artémis Domaines group, the house combines tradition with modernity. Under the technical direction of Frédéric Weber, the estate is strongly committed to preserving biodiversity and converting to organic farming, thereby carrying forward centuries-old expertise across exceptional terroirs.

The Vineyard

This cuvée comes from the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, located in the southern part of the Côte de Nuits. This is a merchant wine, crafted from grapes carefully selected and purchased from partner winegrowers, faithfully reflecting the style and richness of this Burgundian terroir.

The Vintage

2020 is recognised as a warm vintage, with climatic conditions that favoured excellent grape ripeness while preserving a bright, lively acidity.

Winemaking and Ageing

The making of this Nuits-Saint-Georges Village 2020 reflects the house's technical mastery. Ageing in oak barrels lends the wine its characteristic notes of vanilla, toast and bakery spices, while respecting the vibrancy of the fruit and the structure of the appellation.
