Vertdevin
The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is perfumed and flavorful. It first reveals smoky, slightly meaty notes, then opens to roasted red cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, fresh raspberry, crushed blueberry, a hint of blackcurrant jam, along with notes of wild mint and rosemary, a spicy edge (licorice, ground cumin, clove), a delicate floral bouquet (cornflower, lily, peony, a touch of violet), as well as a hint of roast (toasted hazelnut, mild coffee) and cocoa. The palate is enveloping, flavorful, yet fresh and straight. It shows notes of juicy morello cherry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, redcurrant jelly, and crushed blueberry, combined with notes of white pepper, licorice (with a subtle star anise nuance), ground cumin, clove, and a refined floral bouquet (violet, cornflower, peony). The finish is persistent, warm, and savory, with powdery cocoa notes. The tannins are sapid and well-integrated.
